Moneta  Moneta is a high energy Power-Pop Band from Seattle, Washington that, although made up of the usual assortment of guitars, microphones, keyboards, and drum kits, is much more than simply the sum of its collected parts. And, while the pounding guitars and sing-along choruses provide a familiar point of reference for fans used to the broader "Emo/post-hardcore" genre, Moneta's true strength lies in their ability to create simple, yet classic melodies and build upon them to create a sound and style completely their own. This style and sound draws from the collected influences and inspirations of Moneta's 6 member line-up and is as diverse and unique as the members themselves all the while maintaining a sonic quality that is unmistakably "Moneta". But, even more important than the four-part harmonies and catchy choruses is Moneta's message of hope that, since day one, has been the central motivating factor and bedrock foundation of all of the band's endeavors. Moneta's message is of a hope that asks for nothing but the belief that, if we all work together, we just might make the world a little better for the guy or girl next to us and, it is in this spirit, that Moneta supports numerous local charities, promotes involvement in community programs, and has run canned food drives from their merch table to raise awareness. Since the bands founding in 2007, Moneta has wasted little time getting this message out to their dedicated and ever-growing army of fans. With two independently released albums in 2007 and 2008 ("The Hope EP" and "Heroes"), numerous Seattle and Western Washington area live shows with national touring bands, and a constant stream of video blogs and free web content, Moneta fans are some of the most loved and enthusiastic fans you can find. In the words of the band, "One Moneta fan is worth 10 fans of any other band! and we know how lucky we are to have every single one of them!"
